Cameras:
Sony DSLR A55- my newest camera. I love this dream machine. It is extremely fast and is doing almost everything I could have ever dreamed a camera could do. I have 4 lens and they all get a lot of use.
Olympus Stylus 1000 All Weather- This is my point and shoot camera that I have had for some years now. Most of my works so far have been done with this camera. It really limited me, but is phenomenal for a point and shoot, it was rated the best point and shoot camera for under 500 when I bought it and it sure does live up to its name.
Fujifilm XP Finepix (Blue)- This is my indestructible point and shoot and underwater shooter. This camera is my wife's camera though :D, so she uses it most of the time.
Copyrights- if your wondering what the numbers are before the photo name in my comments, those are what the photo is actually copyrighted under. I have some 5000 copyrighted photos, so to keep it simple for copyrighting, I just have the numbers. Another note, the numbers start with a letter and that designates what camera took the picture. DSC is the Sony a55 and P is the Olympus.

Well after a long break from DA I have returned and will be on pretty often again. Its amazing how Grad School and moving can take so much of your time up. I'm happy to report I've got lots of new photos to put up and I have some new equipment too. I have a flash (finally) and a new wide angle lens. The lens got lots of use up at TQ Falls about a month ago and it is a great lens. I will be posting some photos from that soon. My next photographic adventure is at Harrisville, MI and the local Watershed (which surprisingly I haven't visited yet).

Whats been up as of lately?

Early I had mentioned I was going to be the photographer for the first Icelandic Sheepdog AKC dog show which was being put on in Novi, MI and it was a success. ISAA did a great job of running the show within the larger AKC show and it was a pleasure to be at. The dogs were all fun and it ran without a snag. Hopefully I am invited to be the photographer for coming shows.
On a side note, my most recent projects have been at Northwood's Auto Show, the Detroit Zoo, and the Detroit Auto Show. I came away with some great pics from all of them. I haven't had a chance to go through them all yet, but im in progress. So far I'm quite pleased with the

Shayminwoods.com is live and doing well. Its first update is due to go up in 2 weeks. I'll be adding another 10 images to it from my more recent works. Also, keep watchin for more works on DA. I'll be putting up some of my abstracts for the first time due to a request I received in a comment on one of my photos :). Those will go up after I finish submitting them to the copyright office. If theres something you think I should try or want to see from me let me know.
